Overview of the Future Tense[edit | edit source]

The future tense is used to talk about actions or events that will happen in the future. In Central Khmer, the future tense is formed by using specific markers or words that indicate future time. These markers are placed before the verb in the sentence to indicate that the action will take place at a later time. Understanding and using the future tense is essential for effective communication in Central Khmer.

Forming the Future Tense[edit | edit source]

In Central Khmer, the future tense is formed by using specific markers or words that indicate future time. These markers are placed before the verb in the sentence. Let's see some examples:

Regular Verbs[edit | edit source]

To form the future tense with regular verbs, we add the marker "នឹង" (nɨəŋ) before the verb. Let's look at some examples:

Central Khmer Pronunciation English
