In the previous lesson (Introducing), learned how we can say " I am --- ". In this lesson, we learn how we can say "I am not ---". Follow the lesson, please.
We use "nicht" if it's not for nouns.
Example :
- Ich bin Lehrer.
I'm a teacher.
- Ich bin Lehrer nicht.
I'm not teacher.
When it comes to nouns, we use "kein" (for masculine and neuter) or "keine" (for feminine).
Example :
- Ich bin Lehrer.
I'm a teacher.
- Ich bin kein Lehrer.
I'm not teacher.
Look at this example again, we delete the "ein / eine => an/ a" becuse it's more natural for native speakers.
Good luck.
