In today's lesson you will learn about the ¨FEDERAL STATES¨ in Germany.

  • Since 1990 Germany consists of 16 states which constitute the federal system.
  • Each "Bundesland" is executed by its own government and administration.
  • In the "Bundesrat" (legislative body), all 16 Bundesländer are represented.
  • The votes are weighted appropriate the population of each Bundesland.
