Here are some useful phrases that you can use while ordering food at a restaurant in Kannada:
- ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ (Namaskara) - Hello
- ಹಾಲು/ನೀರು ಕೊಡಿ (Haalu/Neeru Kodi) - Please give me milk/water
- ನಾನು ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ (Naanu arogayavaagiddene) - I am fine
- ನೀವು ಹೇಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ? (Neenu hegidheeri?) - How are you?

Here is a typical conversation that you might have with a server while ordering food at a restaurant in Kannada:
Server: ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ, ನೀವು ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಊಟ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೀರಿ? (Namaskara, neevu yaavudannu oota maadalu bayasutteeri?)
You: ನಾನು ಶಾಕ ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜಲೇಬಿ ಕೂಡ (Naanu shaaka kudiyuttena matthu jalebi kooda)
Server: ನೀವು ರೈತ ಹಾಗು ಕಚೌಂಗಿ ಪಲ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡ ಆರ್ಡರ್ ಮಾಡಬಹುದೇ? (Neevu raita haagu kachōṃɡi pal'yavannu kooda order maadabahude?)
