When write cent or cents?
Even native French people sometimes do not know when to write "cent" or "cents".
Video in French explaining the rule[edit | edit source]
This video is in French, but the person speaks slowly, so you won't have a hard time understanding. Otherwise see the explanation in English on this page. Good luck !
Rule[edit | edit source]
"Cent" takes an "s" when it is multiplied by another number AND not followed by another number.
Example[edit | edit source]
200 is written "deux cents" , but 203 is written "deux cent trois". (cent without an "s")
