Παρώνυµα - The paronyms[edit | edit source]
English[edit | edit source]
'Paronyms' are words that are very similar because of their spelling.
However, even though two words have a single letter that differs, they have a completely different meaning.
Many times these words stand out because they are stressed in a different syllable.
In this case, we are talking about "tonic paronyms".
- 'Be careful not to confuse homonyms and paronyms' .
- 'Always check your spelling'
