Maltese culture is a blend of various cultures, including the Arabs, Romans, and British. This cultural mix can be seen in the Maltese language itself, which is a Semitic language but has been heavily influenced by Romance languages such as Italian and Sicilian. Besides, the Maltese language has a distinct alphabet which originated from the Phoenician language.
Malta is an archipelago in the central Mediterranean between Sicily and the North African coast. The country has a rich history and archeological sites, such as the Ggantija megalithic temple complex on the island of Gozo, which date back to 3600 B.C. The country is also famous for its beautiful beaches, where tourists are attracted for water sports, diving and other outdoor activities.
