Kirghiz Vocabulary - Health

Hi Kirghiz learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn vocabulary related to health. It's important to have a good understanding of these words and phrases in case of any health-related emergencies. Also, if you are planning to travel to a Kirghiz-speaking country, you may want to familiarize yourself with this vocabulary.

Basic Health Vocabulary[edit | edit source]

Let's start with some basic health-related words and phrases:

сактык saktyk health
азыр azyr now
калайлы kalayly sometimes
жаман jaman bad
жамандаш jaman dash unhealthy
ушул ushul this
мышыңыз myshynyz your (formal)
туура tuura correct
урматтуу urmattuu grateful, thankful
башкаруу bashkaruu take care of

Now that we have learned the basic health vocabulary, let's move on to some phrases that might come in use in case of a health emergency.

Health Emergency Phrases[edit | edit source]

Kirghiz Pronunciation English
Кызыл-желек макул? Kyzyl-zhelek makul? Is the ambulance available?
Сиздин ата-энешиниз кандай? Sizdin ata-eneshiniz kanday? What is your name?
Сиз өзүңүздүн маалыматтарын жазыңыз. Siz özüňüzdyn maalymattaryn jazyňyz. Write down your information.
Мен кездейсоңуз. Men kezdäysoñuz. I am feeling dizzy.
Мен айыпкерчиликтин жана бекитилишти иштетебилем. Men ayıpkerciliktin jana bektilishtti ishtetebilem. I need medical attention and treatment.

Now, let's move on to a dialogue that might be useful in a health emergency situation:

  • Person 1: Ата-энешим Айбек. Мен жамандаймын. (Ata-eneshim Aibek. Men jaman-daymyn.)
    I am Aibek. I am feeling unwell.
  • Person 2: Кандай айыпкерчилигиниз бар? (Kanday ayıpkerciliginiz bar?)
    What seems to be the problem?
  • Person 1: Мен кездейсоңуз. (Men kezdäysoñuz.)
    I am feeling dizzy.
  • Person 2: Кандай заман? (Kanday zamun?)
    Since when?
  • Person 1: Азыр келген күндөнбүрө. (Azyr kelgen kündönbyrö.)
    Since yesterday.
  • Person 2: Сизге бирок, сиздин төмөнкү маалыматтарыңызды берсек жакшы болот. (Sizge birök, sizdin tömönkü maalymattaryñyzdy bersék jakshy bolot.)
    If you give me the following information, it will be helpful.
  • Person 1: Тамырым Айбек. 28 жаш. (Tamyrım Aibek. 28 jash.)
    My name is Aibek. I am 28 years old.
  • Person 2: Консультация жасалат. Кийнек, сиздин станыңызды алып барам. (Konsultatsiya jasalat. Kiynek, sizdin stanynyzdy alyp baram.)
    A consultation will be conducted. Please come with me to the station.

This dialogue might come in handy if you find yourself in a similar situation. It's always a good idea to be prepared.
