Pronouns are words that take the place of nouns. The most common pronouns in Gujarati include:

Personal Pronouns[edit | edit source]
Personal pronouns refer to specific people or objects.
Example:
- เชนเซเช เชเชฎเซ เชเชพเชถเซ. (hun ghamo khashe.) - I like spinach.
- เชคเซเช เชเซเชฌ เชคเชพเชเซ เชฒเชพเชเช เชธเชฎเชเซเชฒเซ. (tun khub taji light samajeli.) - You understand the new light system well.
- เชคเชฎเซ เชเซเชฎ เชเซ? (tame kem cho?) - How are you (plural)?
Possessive Pronouns[edit | edit source]
Possessive pronouns indicate ownership of a noun or an object.
Example:
- เชฎเซเชเชเซ เชฎเชพเชฐเซ เชเซ. (mango maru che.) - The mango is mine.
- เชคเชฎเชพเชฐเซเช เชเชฐ เชธเชพเชซ เชเซ. (tamara ghar saaf che.) - Your (singular) house is clean.
- เชเชชเชฃเซ เช เชฎเชพเชฐเซ เชเชฟเชคเชพเชฌเซ เชเชพเชขเซ เชฒเซเชงเซ เชจเชฅเซ. (apani amari kitaabo kadhi lidhi nathi.) - We haven't picked up our books.
Reflexive Pronouns[edit | edit source]
Reflexive pronouns are used when the subject and object are the same.
Example:
- เชเซเชเช, เช เชตเชจเซ เชชเซเชฐเซเชฎ เชเซ. (joie, avne prem che.) - Look, he loves himself.
- เชเชตเซเชจเซ เชชเซเชฐเซเชฎ เชชเชพเชฎเซ เชเซ. (aavine prem pame che.) - She finds love in herself.
Interrogative Pronouns[edit | edit source]
Interrogative pronouns are used for asking questions.
Example:

- เชเซ เชธเซเชฐเช เชจเชพ เชเชเชพเชฎเชฅเซ เชเชชเชฃเซ เชธเชเชคเซเชท เชฎเชณเซ เชเซ. (je suraj na ugmathi apani santo ash male che.) - We get happiness from the sunrise.
