Possessive pronouns in Georgian

The third person possessive pronouns[edit | edit source]

The third person possessive pronouns repeat the same kind space exposition as with the personal pronouns. Compare:

single  მისი  ამისი  იმისი
plural  მათი  ამათი  იმათი

Actually the prefix “ა-” shows the distance near the first person, while the prefix “ი-” exposes the opposite – far from the first and second person. (Since the second person is a member of a conversation, it is always near the first person.)

Possessive pronouns[edit | edit source]

my  ჩემი
your  შენი
his/her/its  მისი ამისი იმისი
our  ჩვენი
your  თქვენი
their  მათი ამათი იმათი
