Forming the Conditional Mood[edit | edit source]
The conditional mood in Georgian is formed by adding the suffix -แแ/-แแ to the verb stem. For example, the verb แแแแแแแแ (to come out) has the stem แแแแแแแ- and the conditional form is แแแแแแแแแ (would come out).
Irregular Verbs[edit | edit source]
There are some irregular verbs in Georgian which have different stems in the conditional mood. For example, the verb แแแแแแแ แแแแ (to finish) has the stem แแแแแแแ แ- in the conditional mood, instead of the usual แแแแแแแ แแ-.
When to Use the Conditional Mood[edit | edit source]
The conditional mood is used to express a hypothetical situation or a wish. It can also be used to express politeness or to make a suggestion.
For example:
- แแฃ แแ แแฅ แแแแแ แแแแ, แแ แแแแก แจแแกแแฎแแ แฃแแแ แแชแแแแแแแ. (If I were here, I would already know about this.)
