Popular Beverages[edit | edit source]

Pashtuns love their tea, which is an integral part of their culture. Tea is offered as a sign of hospitality and is consumed daily. It is common for Pashtuns to drink tea multiple times a day, and they usually drink it with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Another popular drink is green tea, which is served unsweetened, and sometimes with added sugar cubes (called "bobliya" in Pashto). It is a popular drink that is served to guests and during special occasions. It is said that green tea boosts your immunity and can help with weight loss.

Water is also a popular drink, especially in the summer months when it can get very hot. Pashtuns believe in drinking plenty of water to keep hydrated and maintain good health.

Milk and yogurt drinks are also consumed in Pashtun culture. "Lassi" is a yogurt drink that is often mixed with salt or sugar and sometimes with fruits such as mangos or bananas. It is a popular drink in the summer months and is believed to help cool the body.
