Join us for the Langroops NYC BROOKLYN Language Exchange event on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM! This is the perfect opportunity to practice and improve your language skills in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

Whether you're looking to practice English, Spanish, French, Chinese, or any other language, all are welcome to attend. We believe in the power of language learning and encourage everyone to participate.

This meetup is open to language learners of all levels. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced speaker, you'll have the chance to practice with native speakers and receive guidance from fellow learners.

When you arrive, look for one of our organizers who will help you get started. We'll provide nametags and assist with seating arrangements.

Based on attendee interests, we usually have 1-3 tables for different languages. English, Spanish, French, and Chinese are commonly requested, but we're open to other languages as well. Let us know in the comments which language you'd like to practice for a better chance of finding a partner.

During the event, we encourage participants to spend roughly half their time practicing their target language and the other half assisting others. It's a great opportunity for mutual learning and support.

This event is completely free to attend. However, if you'd like to support us in organizing more language learning events, we accept contributions via Venmo (@langroops).

To ensure a positive and inclusive experience for everyone, we kindly ask participants to refrain from discussing political and religious topics or engaging in any form of solicitation. This is not a dating event, so please be respectful and avoid making others uncomfortable. If you encounter any issues, please approach one of our organizers.

Occasionally, we may take photos at the event for memories and social media purposes. We will notify you in advance if this is the case.

Who are we? Langroops is a volunteer-led language exchange community that hosts free weekly events for various languages. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for genuine language learners to practice with native speakers.

• Can I come if I am a beginner/haven't started learning yet?
  Absolutely! Language learners of all levels are welcome. However, you'll benefit more from the event if you can speak at least a little in the language you're learning.
• Can I come late?
  Yes, feel free to join us at any time after the event has started.
• What time does the event end?
  The official event hours are from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
• How often does this event take place?
  We hold this event every weekend.
• Can I move between tables?
  Of course! If you're practicing multiple languages, you're welcome to switch tables as you wish. Just remember to spend some time helping others with your native language.
• Where is the English table?
  Every table is an English table! Just look for the table with a sign for your native language and meet English speakers who are learning your language.
• Is there a table for a specific language?
  Tables are based on attendee interests, and we try to connect people who share language interests. If you'd like to have a table for a specific language, please comment below and make sure to arrive on time.
