Join us for an exciting event, the Chicago Language Cafe meetup, happening at Revolution Brewing on Kedzie! Expand your language skills and connect with like-minded individuals by practicing the language you're learning or already know. Each language will have its own designated table, allowing you to freely explore different tables if you're multilingual. Our event includes tables for English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Italian, and ASL.

Express your interest in other languages by commenting below. We provide flags for borrowing, so you can easily find others who want to learn or teach the same language as you!

To maintain the event's essence, please converse predominantly in the language of the table you're sitting at. While it's acceptable to clarify in English, try to minimize its use unless you're at the English table.

Even if you only speak English, you're more than welcome to join us and assist others in improving their English skills. Many attendees from different parts of the world come specifically to practice English and greatly appreciate the guidance of native speakers.

Expect a lively and sociable atmosphere with a diverse group of people. This meetup offers a fantastic opportunity to practice various languages and interact with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds. However, if you prefer a quieter and more intimate conversational setting, you might want to explore other options. Translation: Our meetups can get quite lively, crowded, and, most importantly, fun!

Revolution Brewing's taproom in Avondale is conveniently located a short walk from the Belmont Blue Line stop. They serve a wide selection of delicious beers brewed on-site, along with snacks, sodas, and a few gluten-free options for non-beer drinkers. You're also welcome to bring your own food. Kindly note that outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.

Guests of all ages are welcome at the Tap Room; however, individuals wishing to consume alcohol must present a valid, PHYSICAL, original ID.
Accepted IDs:

  • Driver's License
  • State ID
  • Military ID
  • Passport/Passport Card

Unacceptable IDs:
