Hola! Welcome to the West End Intercambio event where you can practice and improve your English or Spanish skills in a friendly environment.

UPDATE: Starting from May 8th, join us on Monday evenings at Curlers and Thursday evenings at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. At Curlers, head upstairs and find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. At Tennent's, turn left as you enter from Byres Rd and look for us at one of the tables by the windows.

FAQs

What level is required to join?
All language levels are welcome, from beginners to natives. Some conversational ability is helpful, but everyone is encouraged to participate!

What if I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM?
The group is casual, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, wait for about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up?
Don't worry, there are usually more regular attendees than the RSVP count indicates. Our usual group size ranges from 10 to 15 people.

Join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays to practice and chat in Spanish and English. Our hosts vary each night, but you can always expect a warm welcome from friendly people. Look for us at the top of the stairs, sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and have engaging conversations in both languages.

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure equal time for each language. Expect interesting topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regular attendees and extend a special welcome to new members.
