Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and Thursdays will be at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you will find the two reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
Our group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. It is beneficial to have at least a basic conversational ability to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
Our gatherings are very casual, and we usually stay for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has signed up for the event?
While the RSVP count may show only 1 or 2 people, we typically have a regular group of 10-15 attendees.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, come join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we will be seated on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and perhaps some interesting topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members.
