Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held at Curlers and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

When you arrive at Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you can find the two reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to attend?
The group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having even a basic conversational ability is helpful to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is it a problem?
The group is very casual, usually lasting for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, give it 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has signed up, will the event still happen?
While the RSVP count may show only 1 or 2 people, there are usually more regular attendees, with the usual group size ranging from 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally none, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We begin with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure each language gets equal time and perhaps some entertaining topics to keep the conversation flowing. We are eager to see our regular attendees and especially welcome new members.
