Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers and Thursdays evenings at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. At Tennent's, simply turn left as you enter from Byres Rd, and we're typically at one of the tables by the windows!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
The group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Having some conversational ability is beneficial, but all are encouraged to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very laid-back, and we usually stay for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and no one is there yet, wait around 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has RSVP'd for the event?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, we typically have a regular group size of around 10-15 attendees.

If you're looking to practice and improve your Spanish or English, come join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and sometimes none, but you can always expect a warm welcome from friendly people. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We kick off with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to give each language equal time and perhaps explore some fun topics to keep the conversation flowing. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a special welcome to new members.
