Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evening gatherings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and on Thursday evenings at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you enter, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Alternatively, when you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and we'll most likely be at one of the tables by the windows!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to join?
The group welcomes and includes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, having at least some conversational ability can be helpful to participate!

If I can't make it at exactly 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very casual, and we usually stay for a few hours at least, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

There's only one person signed up, will the event still take place?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees, and the usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host at all, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We look forward to meeting you and chatting with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language has equal time and perhaps some fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We can't wait to see our regulars and extend a warm welcome to new members.
