Welcome to the West End Intercambio English/Español meetup!

Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evening meetups will be held upstairs at Curlers, while our Thursday evening meetups will take place at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you will usually find the two tables on the left reserved for our group.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to join?
Our group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, having even a little conversational ability will be helpful to participate.

What if I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM?
Our meetups are very informal and usually last for a few hours, so feel free to join whenever you can. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

What if only one person is signed up?
While the event page may show only 1 or 2 RSVPs, we usually have more regular attendees. Our usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the staircase, where we will be sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language gets equal time and perhaps some fun topics to keep everyone chatting. We look forward to seeing our regular members and extending a special welcome to new members.
