Welcome to the West End Intercambio English/Español event!

Join us every Monday and Thursday at 7:00 PM for a language exchange meetup at Tennent's Bar. We have recently moved our Monday evenings upstairs at Curlers and Thursdays will now be held at Tennent's.

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you'll find our group at the two reserved tables on the left.

Here are some frequently asked questions:

What level is required to attend?
Our group welcomes everyone, from beginners to native speakers. Even if you have just a little conversational ability, feel free to join in!

What if I can't arrive exactly at 7:00 PM?
No worries! Our meetup is very informal and we usually stay for a few hours. Come whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it around 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if only one person has RSVPd?
Don't worry about the RSVP count on the event page. We usually have more regular attendees, with a typical group size of around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM every Monday and Thursday. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' to ensure equal time for each language and to keep the conversation engaging with fun topics. We look forward to seeing our regular members and extending a special welcome to new members.

¿Qué nivel se requiere para asistir?

¿Qué pasa si no puedo llegar exactamente a las 7:00 PM?
¡No te preocupes! Nuestro encuentro es muy informal y generalmente nos quedamos varias horas. Ven cuando puedas. Si llegas a las 7:00 PM y aún no hay nadie, ¡espera unos 15-20 minutos para que lleguen los demás!

¿Qué pasa si solo una persona ha confirmado asistencia?
No te preocupes por el número de confirmaciones en la página del evento. Normalmente tenemos más asistentes habituales, con un tamaño de grupo típico de alrededor de 10-15 personas.
