Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and our Thursday evenings will take place at Tennent's!

When you enter Tennent's from the Byres Rd entrance, you will usually find the two reserved tables on the left.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is required to attend?
The group is open to everyone, from beginners to native speakers. However, even having a little conversational ability can be helpful to fully participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very casual, and we usually stay for a few hours at least. So feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive!

What if there is only one person signed up?
While the event page may only show 1 or 2 RSVPs, there are usually more regular attendees, and the usual group size is around 10-15 people.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We are excited to meet you and have a chat in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour,' so that each language gets equal time and maybe some fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We can't wait to see our regular attendees and especially welcome new members.
