Welcome to the West End Intercambio English/Español meetup at Tennent's Bar on Byres Road! Join us on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 7:00 PM for an evening of language exchange and cultural immersion.

UPDATE: As of May 2023, we have moved our Monday evening sessions to Curlers and our Thursday sessions will now be held at Tennent's Bar.

When you enter Tennent's Bar from the Byres Rd entrance, you'll find our reserved tables on the left. We typically have a friendly group of around 10-15 attendees, ranging from beginners to native speakers.

If you're wondering about the required language level to join, don't worry! Our group is open to everyone, and even if you have limited conversational skills, you'll still have a great time practicing and improving your language abilities.

Can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM? No problem! Our meetups are very informal, and we usually stay for a few hours. Feel free to join us whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and don't see anyone yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for others to arrive.

Even if only one person has RSVPd on the event page, don't worry! We usually have regular attendees who don't RSVP but still join us. So, the usual group size is around 10-15 people.

Join us on the upper level of Tennent's Bar, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. You'll meet friendly people who are eager to welcome you and have conversations in both Spanish and English. Whether you want to practice your Spanish or English, this is the perfect opportunity to do so!

We start with a "Spanish half hour" followed by an "English half hour" to ensure that both languages receive equal time and to keep the conversations lively with interesting topics. We are excited to see our regular members and extend a warm welcome to newcomers as well.
