Hello everyone! Starting from Monday, May 8th, our Monday evenings will be held upstairs at Curlers, and our Thursday evenings will take place at Tennent's!

Curlers is conveniently located next to Hillhead subway on Byres Rd. When you arrive, head upstairs, turn right, and you'll usually find us at the table in the far left corner by the window. Or, if you enter Tennent's from Byres Rd, turn left, and one of the tables by the windows is where we usually gather!

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of proficiency is required to join?
The group welcomes and is attended by people of all levels, from beginners to native speakers. However, even having a basic conversational ability can be helpful to participate!

If I can't make it exactly at 7:00 PM, is that a problem?
The group is very casual, and we usually stay for a few hours at least. So, feel free to join whenever you can make it. If you arrive at 7:00 PM and nobody is there yet, give it about 15-20 minutes for people to arrive!

What if only one person has signed up, will the event still take place?
While the event page may sometimes show only 1 or 2 people who have RSVPd, there are usually more regular attendees, with the usual group size being around 10-15.

If you want to practice and improve your Spanish or English, join us at The Tennent's Bar on Byres Road at 7:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. We have different hosts on different nights, and occasionally no host, but there will always be friendly people to give you a warm welcome. You can find us at the top of the stairs, where we'll be sitting on the long benches. We're excited to meet you and chat with you in Spanish and English.

We start with a 'Spanish half hour' followed by an 'English half hour' so that each language gets an equal amount of time and maybe some fun topics to keep everyone engaged. We can't wait to see all our regular attendees and especially welcome new members.
