Phuket - Polyglot Netwerk 121 leden

Phuket is the name of the town and also the region (province) of an island in the south of Thailand

Although  in the  early last century it was mainly a tin mining region (and also of course fishing harbour)  it has changed gradually over the last years to become a booming tourist destination .

About 6.5 million visitors each year visit the island known for his beaches , national parks , waterfalls and surrouniding islands

The many tourists from all over the world raised also intrest with the local  people  to improved knowledge of other languages .

That is why we decided to start Polyglot Club meetings in Phuket, to give the people the opportunity to practise their language skills in a relaxed atmosphere
