About me

I have always considered art and theatre as indispensable tools to understand the world and learn to relate to what which surrounds us. The visual arts have helped me building an inner world and the study of acting techniques has led me to the emotional knowledge of my body. In my work I try to recover the physical awareness of a lost time and a sane way to relate to people and environment, against the rarefaction of human relations and against the consumerism. I have learned to live with little and give value to what which counts indeed, cultivating an enthusiasm for the life and a taste for the adventure as in another time tale. (I have a great fascination for the graphic novel’s character Corto Maltese and for Errol Flynn’s characters for example). I have to say thank you to the people whom I have met, the books I have read and the many jobs and activity I have had the luck to do, from extemporaneous of painting to hodman, dish-washer , portraitist , teaching of house-to-house life drawing and Italian language in England, actor, scenographer… Naples has made me grow and has introduced me to Mediterranean cultures, the ferment and the creativity of this town . My experience as an exchange student at The Dartington College of Arts… as if I had been adopted by Totnes, practicing and learning to define me both humanly and artistically in an international context.
