Hi! Would anyone please give me a good advise?
One of my troubles with Thai phonetics is following:
Very often my damn nothern throat can`t pronounce two syllables fused in one tonal pattern (as google translate would do) e.g. two low tone sylls in one falling melody. Well. sometimes I simply don`t have enough breath!
And sometimes I can`n split two short syllables correctly. e.g. I hardly can pronounce ช้า ๆ as 2 splitted sounds.
formally the last one is long but in pattern records they pronounce it very fast... as a native speaker would do
The questions are:
1. Do I have any formal freedom to split/fuse patterns?
2. Does Google correctly play obligatory patterns?
3. Should I work with it - or it`s rather a formal problem and I`ll be understood in Thailand without improving it?
of course I mean informal and non-official situation, not demands of public or official communication ;-)
