Hi everyone. Could someone please tell me the difference between ”tratar” and ”intentar?” Could you also provide some examples? Hola todo. Por favor diameter cual es la diferencia entre las palabras ”tratar” y ”intentar,” y darme unos ejemplos.

Hi! If you want to say ”I am trying to learn Spanish”, you should say “estoy intentando aprender español”.

Hi, and happy New Year! I’d say that “tratar” and “intentar” mean basically the same. But bear in mind that you have to say “intententar hacer algo” and “tratar de hacer algo”

    Por otro lado, “tratar” tiene otro significado, ya que sería la traducción de “to treat”, como por ejemplo “to treat someone with respect”, like when you say a child: “Cariño, tienes que tratar a la abuela con respeto”
