It is the most complicated and difficult part of the grammar. In English and in most other languages, the grammatical time relates to an operation or activity of the verb in the present, past or future. In Greek, however, it is paramount that the grammatical tense of a verb is not the real time, but the nature of the action or event that represents the verb. The time which is denoted by a phrase or text is secondary. |
