The main reason is that google translator doesn’t understand syntax and morphology too much, expecially at a high level. Which is the case for latin.
On the one hand, it is bads news; at the other hand, good news : we humans are still smarter than computers!

Google translate is generally a bad online resource for Latin. I would recommend whitakers words for single word English to Latin translations and wiktionary for single word Latin to English translations. I would not recommend Google translate or Latin dictionary (which is based on Google translate)
