Hi there, my name is Michael, I'm American, and I'm 17 years old.  This is my third year of French, but I picked it up really fast and now I've moved onto Italian, Polish, and Russian (and some Arabic too).  I can usually read 60% of Italian just with knowledge of French, and after a few months of Italian, I'm getting relatively decent for a n00b.  So, I would really appreciate talking with someone via email or chat to help me practice, as that will no doubt accelerate my learning.



Alright, here is my attempted Italian translation without dictionary (I will most likely be forced to paraphrase things):



Ciao, mi chiamo Michael, sono americano, ed ho 17 anni.  Studio il francese da 3 anni, ma l'ho appreso molto velocemente ed adesso ho deciso di studiare il italiano, il... polski (no idea there), e il russo (ed anche un po' di Arabo).  Posso spesso leggere 60% del italiano a causa del francese, e dopo alcuni mesi del italiano, sto bene per un n00b (lol).  Alorra, vorrei trovare qualcuno per parlare/escrivere via email o chat per aiutarmi ad esercitarmi, et questo mi aiutara' ad apprendere.

Salut, je m'appelle Michael, je suis americain, et j'ai 17 ans.  'Ca fait 3 ans que j'etudie le francais, mais je l'ai appris tres vite et maintenant je me concentre sur l'italien, le polonais et le russe (et un peu d'arabe aussi).  D'habitude je peux lire 60% de ce que je lis en italien sans rien a part ma connaissance de la langue francaise, et apres quelques moi d'etudes d'italien, je deviens assez fort pour un n00b.  Alors, ca m'aiderait beaucoup de trouver quelqu'un avec qui je puisse parler et pratiquer mon italien sur le web, et ca rendera la tache d'apprendre l'italien plus facile et plus vite.
