icelandic seems to be a very difficult language, good luck with it!

Is anyone using 'Icelandic - Grammar Texts Glossary'? If not I'd recommend it, but if anyone is familiar with it, I am wondering whether there are occasional inconsistencies in the exercises, or whether I am just getting confused as a beginner.

For example, in an exercise about a doctor and his son, " sé r" is attached to the doctor for one instance. This was thoroughly confusing and I spent ages trying to sort out when if ever a naturally masculine and grammatically neutral noun would be treated as feminine.

It would be comforting to know whether to expect inconsistencies or not, so if anyone knows I'd be very appreciative. :)

I'm Icelandic, I'm willing to teach anyone Icelandic myself, if anyone wants me to help them out, I'm more than willing.

This site is from the University of Iceland and is great for foreigners. I admire anyone brave enough to learn Icelandic, she is a very hard language I would beleive for a foreigner. Gangi þ é r vé l - Good luck!

I'm a beginner too... My mothertongue is German, and it's really hard for me to learn Icelandic. But it's fun!
