why is this wrong 'Ich bin keine 29'? Why is this true 'ich bin nicht 58'?

both is write. the first one is a bit more informaal than the second one. but if i talk, i would say the first.

    @ndholt: Not quite. There's no 'e' appended, as it does not refer to the person. Difference is: the second one (formally correct) negates the state of being 58 y.o. The first one takes 29 years as a unit and negates that as a whole. A little hard to explain, one of those irregularities in German language. (Same with "das ist keine 2 Wochen her" - "that's not even 2 weeks ago").

    "ich bin keine 29e" means (in English) ... "I'm not a 29 year old", while "ich bin nicht 58" means "I am not 58" ... as momodo writes, both are right .. but there is an "e" on the end of the first to indicate it is someone or something which is 29. (hope that makes sense)
