Ausdruck: used to in German

Hi everyone,

I've taken up German and I'm facing some problems. I was wondering how I could write the following phrase:

"My brother used to watch this."

I guess it would be:

"Früher sah mein Bruder es"

Is it correct?

I'm a litlte late, but I gonna answer you nevertheless!
Your sentence isn't really false, but you wouldn't express it like that as a german. Depending on if your text is elevated or colloquial you would say "Mein Bruder sah es sich (füher) an"(=very elevated) or "Mein Bruder hat es sich früher immer angesehen"/"Mein Bruder hat sich das früher immer angesehen"(=more colloquial)
