is this expression is correct? 'did you eat?'
if I meet a person in trouble, is it correct to ask 'did you eat?'??

I think 'did you eat ' is something unnatural expression.

Did you eat? is a correct saying if you are asking if someone has had food. You could also say "have you eaten?"
