What is the difference between cottage and dwelling? Is there a difference between "foe", "adversary" and "enemy'? Please, could you give me some examples to make it more understandable for me?

A cottage is a small house, often it is one you find in rural areas in small villages. In England you may talk about a beautiful cottage with roses around the door for example. Like the other person said, it is a type of dwelling.
Foe, adversary and enemy are all the same thing (synonyms). However most people would normally use the word enemy. Foe is a bit old fashioned and adversary would make you sound a little too posh maybe!
