Is there difference between the words : hazy and cloudy ?

Yes, cloudy means there are many clouds in the sky above you, while hazy refers to the quality of the air and visibility being reduced. A room can be hazy, but can’t be cloudy. The sky can be either cloudy or hazy from smoke or fog.

Hazy often is used to describe fog, or smoke more than when it’s just cloudy. They’re different but people wouldn’t really say anything is you interchanged them in conversation
