Hello guys! I have got a question here for English Native speakers. ” Be with the truth even if you are alone.” what’s correct in this sentence? ( if you are alone, or if you were alone) and why?

Therefore, the original sentence ”being alone with the truth” is correct, expressing that even if only one person is insisting on the truth, one should stick to the truth.
