Hi. I’ve had a problematic grammar structure. Does anyone know what the grammar is for ”is not being ...” in a sentence like ”Technically, the date is not being had”

Hi, did you mean to say, "there was no date?"

it is quite straightforward to just say that something did not happen by using " there was no ......"

or

"the *object* was cancelled" e.g - "the date was cancelled"

No, It's not what I said. You know, actually, I didn't say it at all. It's form friends show. Anyway, thank you Dy16.

I think it was just a sentence made as a joke to emphasize the fact that 'there is no date occurring right at this moment'. This is not something one would normally say, and that's why Dy16 tried to simplify the sentence saying "there was no date". Hope it helps.
