pavel_ehlaOctober 2017 Hi! What's the problem with Passive Voice? It's really simple. You know that the normal word order in English is SVO (Subject+Verb+Object). When the Object needs attention instead of the Subject, you put it in the front. And in order to keep the SVO structure you use "TO BE" (in the proper from) as a verb and the action performed upon the Object in a form of Past Participle. Like:
- Active: Dogs chase cats.
- Passive: Cats are chased by dogs.
Or.
- Active: Robbers stole the gold.
- Passive: The gold was stolen (by robbers).
And so on.
Causative Form is another question. Do you want to chat and figure out all these matters together?
