How should I use this verb in this context?

I'm not sure how to use the verb "fall down" in this sentence. I have to ideas:

1- Her sparkling long ebony hair falls down by the sides of her round face to her shoulders.

2- Her sparkling long ebony hair falls by the sides of her round face down to her shoulders.

I think the second one is better. Please tell me which one is right, and if you find some error please tell me. Thank you!!
