English Practice Club

This conversation club work like that: the partners will write a text about something (the theme doesn't matter), and some good-comrade corrects it and post the correction.

I suggest this matter: write about our costumes, our cities, countries. Basically about our own culture aspects! Maybe inscribe some thing in our native tongue!

Hope that this topic will work!

(and correct this topic-statement if I had  committed some mistake or English error)

Lets write!

Hello,

I suggest you write only in English as we are in the English section and correct only if you are 100% sure (best if native English speaker can correct).

This is new to me! I'd never knew that costumes are 'some ways of dressing'. Here, in Brazil, 'costumes' and 'cultura' are the same things.

And the text that i put in the topic, is it with many errors?

So, I begin!

My name is Yuri, ans I'm a brazilian guy. I Live at São Paulo, and study philosophy. (and I teach portuguese if we communicate in English by common language!).

I love my country though our political corrupition. Today at Brazil many government people stoles the citiziens money whithout punishiment. Maybe these things are showed at international televisions too.

About our carnaval and  soccer, I hate all these things. Carnaval is a cultural aspect of my country, certally, but it is stronger only in Rio de Janeiro -and I live at São Paulo and Minas Gerais!. Coincidentally, Rio de Janeiro is the city of soccer too. And the city os the violence. Although I suppose that is better left all things about Rio de Janeiro to a 'Carioca' (person who was born at that city).

That is it! I would like that  someone corrects my text, and post the correction here, in the topic, for everybody who want to learn English might  read!

Até a próxima, Jacarés! -see you later, alligators!
