developing countries & environmentally-friendly economic policy
- I am going to discuss the following topic : the link between the growth of developing countries and environmentally friendly economic policy.
- Is is compatible ?
- To start with, I think that developing countries should respect the environment, even though it might contradict their growth.
- The protection of environnemental is essential since some dammages cannot be repared.
- For instance, deforestation in Brazil seems to have created huge dammages to the environment.
- The nature all around us, especially in developing countries, remains very fragile.
- Nevertheless, I have to admit that economic growth is a priority for the poorest countries.
- Therefore, in some circumstances, developing countries could be allowed to pollute a little bit more than the richest countries.
- In other words, I do not believe that every country must be submitted to the same rules.
- While India or african countries need to develop their economy to survive, Europe and the U.S certainly have the means to focus on environmentally-friendly policies.
- To conclude, there is obviously a strong link between economic growth and environment.
- Thanks to the science, it is now possible to implement economic models which develop economy as well as it preserves the environment. THANK YOU !
