Such an Expensive Winter

• My new country house is heating in the best European medieval traditions - by a big stone made fireplace.

• Actually a fireplace isn’t very effective for room heating, by the way it’s voracious for firewoods.

• But a living flame looks beautiful, it envelops you with warmth and comfort.

• Also I have a warm floor on my balcony, where is my small ”winter garden” and an electric heater on the second floor.

• They are my best spenders of electrical energy.

• Which temperature do you have in your home?

• It’s doesn’t comfortable for me when it’s hot and too dry , which is usual for flats in winter time in my country.

• My home is cool, the temperature here is about 18-20 C degrees , on the balcony, where I usually work is 15 C.

• In addition, I have good helpers - sweater, socķs and tea.

• In wintertime I drink especially lots of tea.

• I like hot tea, if it cooled down a little I will reheat it.

• In summer I like to brew fresh leaves, especially leaves of black currant.

• So again winter brings more expenses .

• Further more, days are short and usually dark, so me and my plants are burning a lot of artificial light.

• No matter how you look at it, winter costs us too expensive, whereas in summer is possible to live almost without costs.
