My name is Laya, Iam 36 years old, and from Basra, Iraq.

My father is an English language teacher who passed away, and my mother is a housewife, and I have 9 brothers and sisters.

I enjoy playing sports, reading, and traveling.

Because education in Britain is currently ranked as the best education in the world, so I am pleased to be able to continue my studies at the University of Manchester, which is one of the eight best universities in the field of medicine in the United Kingdom, owns a research group for imaging and image computing and enjoys a strong international reputation that will work To develop my research competencies and broaden my horizons in different disciplines because the program covers an interdisciplinary topic of central importance in diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and patient management.

This will enable me to know what is required so that I can return to my country and contribute to raising the level of the health sector in Iraq by achieving the goals of Sustainable development in health, education, and support for health and academic institutions with all the skills and experience that I gained during my studies.

In addition, obtaining a master’s degree in medical imaging sciences from the University of Manchester will provide me with a high reputation and distinguished experience that will enable me to obtain a higher job position in my country that will enable me to achieve my future goals of working as a lecturer in the College of Medicine in Basra and transferring the experience and skills that I have obtained to the students, and thus I have contributed to graduating doctors who can continue their work professionally And safe.

As well as the establishment of a specialized center for all medical imaging, diagnostic and therapeutic sciences in my country to reduce the number of cancer patients, which increases annually at a rate of 10%, and to achieve the goals of breast cancer awareness campaign that I recently launched, which included examining more than 100 women and educating more than 200 female employees.

It is possible to develop societies and work on the health and mental health of people, except by paying attention to the health aspect, and then sharing my experiences with my colleagues in the Chevening community and transferring my experiences to all parts of the world.

I am confident that if I have the opportunity to be one of those accepted in this course, it will undoubtedly help me reach My goals.
