How I Spent Summer

• I suppose, you’ve also read the book, isn’t it?

• I guess ”The Financer” and Theodor Dreiser in general are classic of American literature.

• Do you learning it at school?

• Actually I was surprised, when in Russian Wikipedia I’ve learned that Dreiser’s most popular books are ”Sister Carrie”, ”An American Tragedy” and ”The Trilogy of Desire” but in English Wikipedia only the first two are mentioned.

• Anyway, I like the book a lot - it’s really a great work, with a good plot, a clever thinking and a deep penetration into human nature.

• I like reading, although mostly don’t have enough time for it.

• This summer was different, I’ve been living in my countryhouse (which in Russian rather called Dacha) and spent a lot of time on fresh air, working in a garden and reading by the sea.

• With the arrival of cold weather I will be force to return in warm flat in the city, but I’m going to miss by those period and time to time visit my Dacha to read, this time, in front of the hot fireplace, waiting and missing the summer...
