A fireplace

• For the last two months my friend and I have been doing a fireplace in our dacha.

• The fireplace is made from cobblestones, so it’s very heavy.

• Because of it we needed foundation, to make which we spent quite a lot time.

• Then started more interesting job - the laying of the fireplace itself.

• It is with an open firebox, so we just needed to put cobblestones in a special way using masonry mix.

• Then was a turn for a chimney.

• Today were the first tests, which showed that traction aren’t enough...

• Anyway, it was so cool to sit in my rocking chair in front of the fair wrapped in a checkered plaid.

• Especially cool it was against the backdrop of a cold November day.

• There are still some works ahead, but I have already had big plans on the day of starting the fireplace.

• I’m going to give my friend a book The Sea-Wolf by Jack London.

• We have already started it once but never finished, although it was quite interesting.

• So I hope now we will get a lot of nice reading time in front of the fire.
