  • Complaint to an airline

  • I’m writing to express my deep disappointment from my recent experience with your airline.
    • Last month I were booked in on a flight to Sri Lanka via Amsterdam.
    • Just upon checking as I turned out I noticed that the first flight to Amsterdam was delayed.
  • I became worried; I knew that if I missed that first flight, I could not enjoy my holidays in Sri Lanka.
  • As the scheduled flight time grew nearer I felt better.
  • But suddenly, it was definitively cancelled.
  • It was already late in the evening.
  • In a very offhand manner, the staff offered us a glass of milk to sleep better, which was decidedly unhelpful.
    • I felt really worried because I would break the promise to spend my birthday with my best friends.
    • I immediately contacted with the central office but it was closed.
    • The stuff did not provide any assistance more.
    • Not only could I fly to Amsterdam but also I would lose some days with my friends.
  • I had to book a room in an hotel close to the airport.
    • It incurred a lot of expense and I would be grateful if you would pay it and offer me another flight for the next year.
  • I enclose herewith the invoice of the hotel.
    • I shall expect to hear soon form you.
    • I believe your airline needs to improve the assistance in these cases to meet the passenger’s needs.
    • If I hear nothing from you, I will definitively go to the police.
