    • How I Explore a New City

    • When I am travelling, most of the times I arrive to the final destination is in the evening or in the early morning after a night driving.
    • So the first thing after the arrival I prefer to ,,set up a camp”, which can really mean setting up a tent and making a campfire or it can mean finding a good parking spot for my vehicle and taking keys to my room at a hotel reception.
  • After that a like to spend some time just chilling in my new bedroom.
  • When my little rest time is over, I like to scout the area around my accomodation.
    • Next activity is to find some food in my travel bags or visiting some restauranta or street food.
    • When I am travelling, my bedtime is quite similar to my regular bedtime at home.
    • In the morning, after a good sleep a like to have a good breakfast.
  • When I sleep longer, I skip the breakfast and just take a shower and go to the city.
  • In general, I do not like to spend all my holiday or trip time in the city jungle, but when I do, I like to play a little game: I pretend that I have a lot of time for everything and I do not like to go just from one sight to another and check some to-do list.
  • I like walking calmly and watching things around me and thinking about if I would want to live here.
    • From the internet I know the phrase ,, slow travelling”.
  • I want to learn it because for me it is the best way to spend time in another city.
  • I also prefer to go to the city just once a day.
    • For me it is best to spend almost all day in the city and after that just go find some food and go chill to the hotel room and maybe watch some movie or do another leisure activity.
  • The same activity I would do at home.
  • I do not like to learn about city history and I do not like to visit museums, galleries and interiors of castles or another buildings.
  • I prefer just walking through the city, watching the exteriors of buildings, hiking to some city viewpoints and feeling the atmosphere of the city.
  • For my future trips, I would like to do some itinerary and preparation but I also like spontaneous things, so I plan to combine these two principles.
