In many countries it is believed that owning a home is only for wealthy people and that is a sign of their social standings.

Different cultures having an important role in people way of thinking about these sort of problems.

From my standpoint, depends on the economic situation of each country the rational decision might be different.

For instance, when the inflation rate is constant and not drastically increased, you can invest the money which you can buy a house with or even spend the money for other activities which you find them more interesting for yourself .On the other hand, having a house or a shelter is one of the basic needs of each individuals and the satisfaction due to that is undeniable and it is as a result of a steady salary which is one of the keys of being In a right way of earning and spending your money but I strongly disagree with putting pressure or even blame people .for In most economy books have been written that if you buy something such as house or a property, you save the value and the worthiness of your money or probably even increase that.

And of course we should not forget the possibility of growing the rents.

To put it succinctly, I find the advantages of owning a home more than its harms and I see that as a desirable short term goal but I strongly disagree with putting pressure on that.
